The Miami Broward One Carnival Host Committee hosted a Colorful and Vibrant Media Launch Reception on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at the Little Haiti Cultural Center. The Committee presented a sneak preview of “Miami Carnival in the Gardens”. There were Vibrant and colorful masqueraders with their costumes, steel pan music, Caribbean Food Powered by Chef Rena Mohammed and an all star line up that includes the Queen of Soca-Alison Hinds and Red Hot Flames (Antigua), Miss Miami Gardens, Miss Miami Broward Carnival and Miss Jamaica Universe.

The official Miami Carnival in the Gardens will be held on Sunday, October 9th at Sun Life Stadium. The Sponsors for this event included: Status Vodka & Carib Beer.

Carnival in the Gardens is a Caribbean cultural experience and spectacular riotous blend of colors, pageantry and fantasy, is depicted through a kaleidoscope of incredible costumes, steel bands, calypso, soca and konpa music. The annual event attracts over 100,000 people from throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean to the South Florida area. With significant impact on annual tourism and the overall economy in South Florida, Miami Carnival in the Gardens is a premiere signature event within the fabric of the South Florida community.
