We arrived to an already pumping fete at Garden 54. The weather threatened rain, but that didn't stop these party goers from coming out to have a good time at this all inclusive Sunday fete. The venue was packed from corner to corner with beautiful people and lots of vibe
.People were mingling, and some shaking a leg, as this afternoon party began to heat up
There was plenty of food with various stations throughout the venue, serving Creole flavored foods, authentic Indian cuisine, and some summer BBQ grilling. Drinks were flowing at the bar, and drink stations. Then of course, the lovely ladies with the drink filled backpacks were a major plus!
The decor stayed true to the Jahaji Bahi theme! The tassa drum performances and the dancers really brought us to another land and brought the theme to life
. The temple shaped cake was surely a work of art, and showed that this event was put together with lots of though and effort.Soca and calypso artist Ajala brought vibes and got people whining
covering some of the hottest soca tunes and singing a few of his original tunes. His energy drew out some unexpected energy from some of these partygoers
. They were waiting to get loose. From there on, there was no controlling them. A fete like this would not be complete with out the vibes of Wassi Man.
From day to night, the good vibes flowed but as we all know, all good things come to an end at one point or another.
We can't wait for next year! Much love to the Southern Connection crew for another great event.
