The much anticipated Soca Kings and Queens concert at the Hard Rock Live @ Universal Studios in Orlando kicked off about 2 hours after the scheduled start time of 9 pm. All of the artistes were being hurried from the airport after reaching in from Atlanta that very night. One of the MCs for the night, Creig Camacho, did his best to ensure the crowd that although the artistes were running late that they were on their way and that the show would go on.

The show began with a local Soca group by the name of Crossovah. They gave a good account of themselves and the crowd seemed to take to them. This group also made it to the semi finals of the 2007 Groovy Soca Monarch competition in Trinidad. After this opening performance Creig Camacho hurried excitedly to the stage to let everyone know that the Soca stars had arrived and it was now time for the main event.

First up was Lil' Bitts, who sang some of her more popular tunes including her hit song "Bump". Lil Bitts, who we believe might now be going by just 'Bitts', gave a very good performance and paved the way for Nadia Batson, who was sure to sing her 2007 popular hits "My Land" and "Caribbean Girl" for the Soca loving Hard Rock crowd.

Next up was Bunji Garlin 'de girl dem darlin'. Bunji was introduced by the second MC on the night, Smallie. Garlin gave a spirited performance and sang all of his hits ("Pan & Soca", "We Maniacs", "Bomb Song", "Blaze It Up" to mention a few) while the crowd in attendance sang along to every note. During Bunji's set Scarface, Fay Ann, Maximus Dan, and the artist formerly know as Iwer all appeared individually, and all sang their big tunes to the delight of the crowd with Iwer ending it all with his familiar soaking of the crowd with his 2005 hit "Water". Despite the late start it was a good show, and we do believe it was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance.
