Save ... humm! ISLANDpeople’s concept for this year’s Caution. Well what we had saved were definitely the memories of past Caution fetes. This event with a T.B.A venue policy, normally takes home in the Chaguaramas environs, where it is known for magically transforming the ambiance to that of the current theme. Now the signage in getting there didn’t seem too vast this year, but then again, with a one way in ... one way out road, who could miss it??!!

Driving off road and making headway towards the actual venue, when we tell ya ... bwoy did the memories began rushing in, all the way back to Caution 2005, where we once partied on these same stomping grounds. Back then it was 20ft & 40ft long sea/land containers located all around, with one or two even held suspended up in mid air way above partying patrons. Several parked heavy construction vehicles and machinery were also quite visible making this neck of the woods appear like that of an actual construction site.

Well forth coming years held themes like “Wild Life” at Santa Cruz in 2006, “Recycle” at MOBS 2 in 2007 and “Read The Fine Print” at Anchorage in 2008. Do you remember? ... those were some times and memories to definitely Save! As we stepped into the First Bank of Caution and entered the vault, we saw that this year didn’t fall short of attracting the usual large crowds, promoting the 2-4-1 drink specials and providing loads of fun filled entertainment throughout the night.

Walking through the fete, held its regular joys of meeting and greeting both new and old faces alike, but at times we did have to take a little caution however as folks formed their own little bars here and there all over the ground. And some were fortunate enough to occupy a couple of the tables that were spread out across the venue. Taking a glance at these tables showed not only the drinking capacity, but also the taste of these partygoers. Like it was uncle Johnnie’s night out ... and boy he was walking!! smile

The night also saw the introduction of Captain Caution, ISLANDpeople’s very own super hero, out to save the world one event at a time as they say. Also in commemoration of the King of Pop, musical segments were dedicated which surely touched the hearts and minds of fans alike. R.I.P MJ! A strange phenomena however, on the initial tribute session, the music system seemed to develop technical difficulties and the DJ had to literally sing to keep the entertainment going. Wasn’t that a bit spooky?!

The fete not stoppin' till de sun come up is a regular occurrence at every Caution. So as usual, we eh buss de tape till the bright sunlight was all up in we eyes, and prematurely too as de good officers were the ones that decided it was the time to stop the music. Well just as they arrived in crowds, folks departed in crowds. By the time half six hit, the only things you would of found up there were mosquitoes, the sounds of birds and if you looked around long enough, those mysterious howler monkeys.

In an effort to Save gas, we chose to car pooled back home.
