Still the Fete with the Best View This is an event that TJJ hasn't missed since it's inception (well, except for me). So this year I decided to roll with the crew, and boy was I happy I did. First off, you have
to board a shuttle from Moka to get to this fete, so one time I thinking
awww daaaaammm we going in de bush. Well it was more like mountain! I
could not believe that the maxi actually made it up the steep road to
the venue which btw was stunning. It is practically carved out of the
mountain! And the view ... *sigh* One of the Police officers asked me
if I was afraid of heights because my jaw was on the floor. I told him
that I just couldn't believe I lived to see such a breathtaking view of
the coastline from this angle! Oh btw, it is pretty high up ... as in
the tops of ginormous trees! So if yuh frade being up high, this is not
the fete for you! Oh and it was freezing! Lawd can you say ocean breeze after 7pm paired with rain high in the mountains? Can you say scotch straight? Well it warmed me right up!
We arrived kinda early,
so we just socialized and munched on appetizers like mini bake and shark,
wontons, egg rolls and fruit, while sipping on cocktails etc. on the lower
deck. It took about an hour for the vibe to pick up so we moved onto the
main course which was just bananas! I done tell allyuh, I moving back
home jes now because my belly was quite comfortable! Anywho, this event is not the usual big bram all-inclusive. It was quite intimate to a degree with just the right level of ram jam. The music was sweeeeet! If yuh see the ladies in their fabulous sundresses getting on bad bad bad! I think Hypa, Bandit and B2B did it fuh spite man ... oh gosh! Heehee! The jam session didn't even slow down when the rain revisited us. The wining was consistent man ... under trees, by the bar and under the tequila tent ... well, of course we had some shots one time! Duh! It was winery from start to fin! This fete is definitely going on my besssss list for 2KWine! Our usual thanks goes out to Carlton, Wayne and the entire Blitz Productions crew for taking care of the TJJ fam. Folks, stay tuned for the BESSSSSS fete of all.......
