TEMPO Turns Two! "Badness Outta Style" Second-Year Anniversary CelebrationOctober 8, 2007 -- TEMPO, the Caribbean’s only premier music and entertainment network, is gearing up for its spectacular two-year anniversary to be held on November 10, 2007, at the Rudolph Schulterbrandt Agricultural Complex in St. Croix. Presented by the US Virgin Islands Department of Tourism and numerous local sponsors, the event will feature some of the Caribbean’s most-loved talent and artists, focusing on TEMPO’s “Badness Outta Style” Pro-Social Campaign.

The TEMPO family will be bringing the TEMPO in full force, including Mr. TEMPO, himself, Founder Frederick Morton, Jr. and Tempo VJs, Empress Jeanille, Island Girl Anushca, Hector Lincoln, Jahbami, Jabba, Jamie Thomas, and Nikki D. Over twelve acts are expected to perform. Headlining the event will be the Caribbean icon himself, Mr. “Putting up A Resistance”, Beres Hammond. Other performers include Mr. King; Cecile; Krosfyah; Mr. Vegas; Ziggy Ranking; Jovi Rockwell; Ronnie Benjamin, Jr.; Niyorah; Jahman; Danny I of Red I Band; Spectrum; and JDPP Jammerz. And between sets, DJ Poppy Pops and the De Kamp will be keeping the Tempo just right.

On Thursday, November 8th, at 6:00 PM, TEMPO will host a press conference to officially announce the weekend’s event and to discuss plans for the future. This press conference will be held at Elizabeth’s at the Palms in St. Croix, and all members of the press are invited to attend. Immediately following the press conference, TEMPO and the TEMPO TURNS TWO star performers will be on hand for a very exclusive VIP Party, with fine Caribbean cuisine and entertainment, sponsored by Cruzan Rum. This VIP party is scheduled for 8:00 PM.

In addition to the weekend’s entertainment, TEMPO TURNS TWO sponsor Caribbean AutoMart of St. Croix will be giving away a brand new Subaru 2.5 SI to a lucky ticket-holder at the show.

TEMPO’s “Badness Outta Style” campaign will be the central theme in TEMPO TURNS TWO celebrations. In that regard, TEMPO will be visiting five schools throughout St. Croix on November 6th and 7th in order to promote its anti-violence message to young people. The visits seek to teach younger fans about the dangers of violence and to promote the “One Love” philosophy that is at the heart of TEMPO’s mission.

“I am eternally grateful for the love of my home, the United States Virgin Islands, St. Croix, for giving me the fuel that drives the TEMPO movement. I want to give back and celebrate the community that raised me and sparked the TEMPO! St. Croix, St. John, St. Thomas and Water Island get ready: TEMPO TURNS TWO! Love you like cook food!,” said, Mr. Tempo, Frederick Morton, Jr., Founder, Senior Vice President & General Manager.
