The Caribbean Film and Media Academy will host Top UK Broadcaster, Journalist and Trainer Richard Evans for a two-day Radio Announcers’ Skillshop to be held in Trinidad, June 15 and 16, 2010.

A veteran with twenty five years experience, Evans has done it all. From news programmes and documentaries. Breakfast, drive and late night live, to panel shows and phone-ins; he has presented and reported at home and abroad for BBC Radio One, BBC Radio Five Live, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Four.

Evans has reported on local newspapers to interviewing Prime Ministers, and has extensive experience of print, broadcast and new media. He has trained hundreds of BBC journalists, business leaders and public figures for media appearances and hosted events for the British Government and the Radio Academy.

The Caribbean Film and Media Academy was founded by Media Producer-Director-TV Personality Lisa Wickham. The CFMA is designed for individuals who are interested in or already involved in the media who desire practical, professional training and development within a highly interactive workshop environment.

The CFMA has partnered with highly trained professionals and practitioners around the world to provide incisive Skillshops across the Region. In February of this year, the CFMA hosted renowned African-American Film Director Julie Dash for a Film Directors Skillshop, at the Best of CaribbeanTales Film Festival in Barbados.

Other Skillshops have been hosted with partners from the BBC and London Film Academy.
