ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, April 25, 2014: The Spicemas Corporation‘s media launch schedule for 29 April has been further postponed to Tuesday 6 May. The media launch is for the purpose of unveiling the plans for carnival 2014 and the SMC’s activities going forward to the actual week of celebrating Spicemas 2014.

Several initiatives are down for discussion during the launch that are geared toward ensuring 2014 is a successful year for the SMC. Meetings have been held with stakeholders in Mas, Pan, Calypso and sponsors to date. The SMC has also engaged in dialogue with several promoters in an effort to collaborate in ensuring the product of carnival is superior.

The media launch has been postpone as a result of the organizers having to consider Tanteen as an alternative venue for the major carnival shows, due to international cricket being held during the month of August at the national stadium.

An intensive analysis is presently being undertaken to ensure that the venue at Tanteen is adequately outfitted for the events. The finalization of the venue will be officially announced during the planned media launch on Tuesday May 6th 2014.
