There was no stopping him in 2009.

He was sworn to the life of a television personality but when music came along, there was no denying it. ‘Frontline,’ on Peter Copin’s Coconut Tree rhythm made him a bonafide soca artiste for T&T’s carnival this year. He rode the wave of superstardom well, alongside his partner in the business, The Boss Neil ‘Iwer’ George. Now, as the 2010 carnival season bears its head, Supper Jigga TC says he’s creating the ‘Template.’

Seven tracks have already been created, one of which rides on Copin’s Patty Cake rhythm for 2010. Symbolical of his attitude as a member of the Caribbean’s entertainment industry, TC’s titled that track, ‘Cyah Done.’

“ I’m focused on the music- well, TV and music,” he says. Next year, I’m in the Power Monarch finals for sure!”

A strong assertion some may say, from a man who only a few years ago was known for being merely a sound man. But the assertion he gives doesn’t come just by mouth, he’s done the work. TC has something loud and tough for the masses to pounce on, in 2010. “ I’m tired of using the airport- it’s time I roll on the ‘lair port’,” he announces.

The man the masses embraced as ‘The King of Swag- The Jigga Man,’ is re-inventing himself in 2010, a challenge for the new daddy who just happens to be one of the most colourful television personalities in Trinidad and Tobago. “ I’m taking a rest from the radio mic- taking control of the soca game,” and by the looks of things, he’s determined to make that happen.

The ‘Template’ is set. It’s been cut out, molded and shaped into something the masses will want. Come 2010, be on the lookout for it- it’ll hit you when you least expect it!

ABOUT T.C.:

T.C. has been in the entertainment business for more than ten years. Known among his peers and fans as Supper Jigga TC- The King Of Swag, this self- made superstar entered the entertainment industry of T&T as a soundman with renowned sound system, RadioActive Sounds. From there, he became highly intrigued by the businesses of music, and moved to become better informed, taking up classes abroad and subsequently returning to local shores where, along with Iwer “The Boss” George, he founded 91.9FM.

Since then, TC has dedicatedly produced the annual Soca 4 Summer concert series and intertwined in his vision for the promotion of the artform, he moved to invigorate and encourage the youths by producing Soca Star, a seasonal reality series that is now in its 4th season.

As the music of Trinidad and Tobago continues to rise to the occasion, there’s no doubt that TC will be on board with the flag wavers of the twin island republic, as he strives to get the voices of the nation heard and embraced.
