Tony Prescott’s on his way to India. The T&T soca artiste who just last month dropped his first C2K10 offering, “Sailing,” has been chosen by the Trinidad and Tobago High Commission to travel to the subcontinent as part of a 16 member contingent who will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Trinidad and Tobago High Commission in India.

Tony and his compatriots, inclusive of 3 Canal, limbo dancers, steel pan players and chutney singers and dancers are scheduled to depart local shores today, Monday, November 2nd and return on November 14th.

The Trinidad and Tobago Entertainment Company is credited by Prescott for its ambitious strive in ensuring that the contingent selected, is capable of providing the perfect showcase of local arts and culture. Prescott who in April was hand picked to deliver a performance at the welcome ceremony during the Fifth Summit of the Americas, will take to India, his all time soca hit, “All Aboard” along with his 2009/2010 high seas anthem, “Sailing.”

Upon his return from India, the pace will continue as hot on the heels of that journey, Prescott’s promotional entity, Lollipop Promotions will host a cruise- simply titled, “Sailing Away.” There’s no slowing down for this culture lover and as the Carnival season comes into focus, Tony’s assuring a whole lot more than many would expect.
