Greetings:
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I did and am so glad that it is November. The chief reason being, because we are now only 3 months out from Trinidad Carnival in 2015.
With that being said, there are many things which have to be done so that you stay on "pace."
In that past few days, I've given you 9 tips that you can follow so that your carnival experience can be as rich as possible. I've also interview two carnival veterans with more to come. And I've also provided a quality explanation about what makes a carnival veteran.
Now I would like to give you some information that you may utilize if you are a carnival virgin or pass along to your crew if you are a carnival expert. And that piece of advice is to:
MAKE YOUR FETE LIST NOW!!!!!!!!
It is November.
Now is the time for you to make your fete list.

Recently I interviewed the, one and only, Angela Panama about Carnival and her worldwide carnival experiences.
If you do not know Angela Panama or have never met her, let me tell you this -- she is NOT a Carnival Veteran, she is a Carnival Expert. I wanted to interview her so that you can see how serious she is about carnival and how she prepares.
After interviewing Angela a few of my fans got in touch with me about how she prepares and about some of the things mentioned in my book which can help them get ready for carnival.
To my surprise, my BIGGEST FAN even made a post on her facebook page asking some questions about my provocative and informative interview with Angela Panama. If you haven't seen the interview click here --> The Carnival Doctor Interviews Angela Panama!
What most people wanted to know are the following:
1. What makes one a carnival veteran?
2. What makes one a carnival expert?
3. What does it mean to have carnival experience?
4. How will I know that I'm an expert?
and
5. Who do you consider the experts to be?
So in this issuance by The Carnival Doctor, I tried to answer your question.

I would like to tell you about it but I don't want to spoil it for you.
I will just tell you this -- Angela prepares for the road by running two times a week and putting rum in her water bottle during her run. She is SERIOUS!!!

(This is an excerpt out of the only book ever endorsed by TriniJungleJuice and MyCarnivalBands.com)
Shut up.
Listen.
And do as you are told.
Seriously, I cannot stress this enough. If a veteran tells you to get online and order a ticket – ORDER IT. Of course, they could just order two and get yours too but that would not teach you how to be independent, how to get it yourself, what websites to access, and the urgency in which you need to move before the tickets are sold out. And the last thing that a veteran wants to do is to be outside of a fete trying to haggle for tickets. They do NOT need that on their minds when they are trying to stick to the fete schedule, coordinate the transportation, look at the clock, watch you as you drink and make sure that you are having a good time. And quite honestly think of all the things that you have not a clue about like ziplock bags, bobby pins, safety pins, wet wipes, crazy glue, pepto-bismol tablets, and things that you just would not or could not imagine that go into preparing for Trinidad Carnival.

As
the resident "Carnival Doctor" and the author of The Ultimate Road
Ready Guide which is the "go-to" guide for all Carnival Virgins and
Veterans, I can honestly tell you that I learn more and more about
Carnival each and every time I go.
In 2012 I learned that women could pee while standing up.
This is how it happened.....
So...... There I was on the road with a sudden urge to go pee. (I know I should use urinate but writing "pee" just seems like the right thing to do. And if I write it twice, it makes me laugh. See..... "pee-pee." You probably just laughed too. If you say it out loud right now, you might get fired from your job. LOL!)
So........ As I said, there I was on the road with a sudden urge to whip out my pee-pee and go pee. Now, this was during Jouvert. So there were no special port-a-potty trucks, there were no bathrooms and there was no where to go but to the bushes, to go and pee.
