Fashion and Entertainment with a purpose … that was the mission of the night; and to enlighten the audience of the great work Shahamane Sunrise has been doing and continues to do. The 2nd annual Shashamane Sunrise (Trinidad & Tobago) Benefit and Auction was held at the Port of Spain Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency on 16-Aug-2011. In case you missed it the famed global music campaign ‘Hennessy Artistry - the Art of Blending’, a programme launched by the French cognac house. Hennessy, as a way of celebrating the vibrant multiculturalism that exists in different musical genres, presented Episode One of The Trilogy 2011 entitled ‘We Mix’ which was held at O2 Park in Chaguaramas. CALO Festival deserves nuff respect for bringing something different to the UK Caribbean circuit and actually attempting to bring a whole weekend of Caribbean culture, costumes and music in the run up to Notting Hill Carnival. It's so nice to have something different to look forward to!!!
